Post signs in the area where the animal was lost. Make the writing simple and large so that a passing car can see the important information such as “LOST” and the type of animal that it is.
Post them outside, take them door to door, post them in grocery stores, libraries, etc.

Place an ad in your local newspaper.
Call your county shelter and every shelter of every surrounding county. Send them your flyer and visit them in person.
If your pet is microchipped, call the company to report them lost and make sure that your contact information is current.
